Filmmaker Karan Johar revealed the colorful posters of Swara Bhaskar’s next, Anaarkali of Aarah, on Monday.

Directed by Avinash Das, it is the story of a singer played by Swara, who hails from Aarah in Bihar and is popular for her songs. This is Avinash’s directorial debut.

Shimmering in a multi-color lehenga with heavy jewelry and a long braided ponytail, Swara is looking every bit like a star performer in the poster.

“India is a treasure cover of stories and circumstances. It’s always a pleasure to watch and experience a heartland story that engages and entertains in equal measure. Anaarkali of Aarah is one such story,” Karan said of the film in a statement for Swara Bhaskar’s.

“I am glad to have been asked to release the first poster of this new and incredible cinema experience,” he added.
